Who we are
Job Scam Checker is operated by Kade Consulting & Training Services (trading as Kade Labs), a business registered in Nigeria. Our website is kadelabs.io and you can contact us at support@kadelabs.io.
What we collect
We designed this app to collect as little personal information as possible. Specifically:
- Job posting text you paste into the scanner: This text is sent to our AI processing service to generate a scam risk analysis. It is not stored on our servers after the analysis is returned.
- Anonymous scan counts: We count the total number of free and paid scans performed across all users to display a counter on the homepage. This number is not linked to any individual user.
- Your IP address: Used temporarily for rate-limiting (maximum 10 scans per hour per IP) to prevent abuse. IPs are stored hashed and expire after one hour.
- Payment information: If you purchase a deep analysis scan (₦500), payment is processed by Paystack. We do not see or store your card details. Paystack’s privacy policy applies to that transaction.
What we don’t collect
- We do not require you to sign up or create an account.
- We do not collect your name, phone number, or email address.
- We do not track you across other websites or apps.
- We do not use advertising networks.
- We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
How we use what we collect
- To analyze the job posting you submit and return a scam risk assessment.
- To process your payment if you upgrade to a deep scan.
- To prevent abuse of the service through rate-limiting.
- To display aggregate usage statistics on our homepage.
Third-party services we use
- Anthropic (Claude API): Processes the job posting text to generate scam analysis. Anthropic’s privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy applies.
- Paystack: Processes payments for the deep scan upgrade. Paystack’s privacy policy at paystack.com/terms applies.
Children
This service is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18.
Your rights
Because we do not store your job posting text or link scans to individual users, there is no personal data for you to request, correct, or delete. If you have questions about data we may have collected, email us at support@kadelabs.io and we will respond within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy occasionally. The “last updated” date at the top will reflect any changes. For significant changes, we will announce them on kadelabs.io.
